Will u like to tell a bit about the culture and tradaions of urs country??? I live in Pakistan. Its full name is "Islamic Republic of Pakistan". Its ian Islamic country. Majority of nation here is Muslims but other people too live here in minority e.g. Hindus, Christans etc. Everyone has freedom to enjoy his/her religious occasions and can celebrate their religious occasions. Women r saved in my country. They r rapped seldom. The second highest mountain of the world K-2 is in my country. More than half of population lives in villages and like cultivation. But alas! literacy rate is low in Pakistan. Almost half of the nation is ill-literate. Government is taking steps for spreading education.

pakistan - pakistan
same to u i living in islamic republic of pakistan The culture of Pakistan although South Asian, has been greatly influenced by the cultures of Central Asia and Middle East. The rich and unique cultural heritage that has actively been preserved throughout history. Pakistan was the site of Indus Valley Civilisation that influenced culture of rest of South Asia. Many cultural practices and monuments have been inherited from the rule of many rulers of the region that have added their cultural traditions to the region. One of the most influenced cultures being the Mughals. However, most Pakistanis follow the mainstream South Asian Muslim culture, which is also found in India and Bangladesh. Pakistan has a very rich cultural and traditional background going back to Indus Valley Civilization, 2800 BC–1800 BC. The region of Pakistan has been invaded in the past, occupied and settled by many different people, including Dravidians, Aryans, Greeks, White Huns, Persians, Arabs, Turks, Mongols and various Eurasian groups. There are differences in culture among the different ethnic groups in matters such as dress, food, and religion, especially where pre-Islamic customs differ from Islamic practices. The basic origin of Pakistanis however comes from the civilizations of North India and eastern Afghanistan, with significant influences from Persia, Turkestan and Hellenistic Greece. Frere Hall - a beautiful structure built during the British Raj Diwan-e-Khas: The hall of special audience with the emperor Bahauddin ZakariyaThe pleasures of Pakistan are ancient: Buddhist monuments, Hindu temples, Palaces and Monuments built by Emperors, tombs, pleasure grounds and Anglo-Mogul mansions - some in a state of dereliction which makes their former grandeur more emphatic. Sculpture is dominated by Graeco-Buddhist friezes, and crafts by ceramics, jewellery, silk goods and engraved woodwork and metalwork. Pakistani society is largely multilingual and multicultural. As a result, cultures differ so much that they may be more alien to each other than to foreign ones. However over 50 years of integration, a distinctive "Pakistani" Culture has sprung up especially in the urban areas.Religious practices of various faiths are an integral part of everyday life in society. Education is highly regarded by members of every socio-economic stratum. The traditional family values are highly respected and considered sacred, although urban families have grown into a nuclear family system, owing to the socio-economic constraints imposed by the traditional joint family system. The past few decades have seen emergence of a middle class in cities such as Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Hyderabad, Quetta, Faisalabad, Sukkur, Peshawar, Abbottabad and Multan. The North-western part of Pakistan, bordering with Afghanistan, is highly conservative and dominated by regional tribal customs dating back hundreds of years.

Firstly sweetie88, I will not enter into a debate over religion because it is inappropriate to discuss differences in these forums. Sadly when this happens, things get heated a little and that is not good for the myLot community. I live in Australia and am a Christian. We are very much a multi-cultural society and have citizens who were born in all different countries of the world. They bring their own cultures, customs and religions here to Australia, and hopefully embrace ours as well. Everyone is free to practice their own religion, whatever that might be, here in Australia. We do have a relatively high standard of living here, a low level of unemployment, support for the poor, sick and needy, excellent hospitals and medical treatment, as well as enough food to go round everyone. Australia is diverse in landscape and we are rich in minerals, agriculture and manufacturing sectors. Our climate is also very diverse, and for the size of our country we have a small population, although the majority live along the coastal regions or in the capital cities. We are a democracy and every citizen over the age of 18 should register so they can vote in our state and federal elections. No country can be perfect in every way, but we are pretty dammed good all the same. Our women have equality in all aspects of life, including education. Our education level is good and every year many thousands of overseas students come here to study for their degree.

Hi Sweety, I am from India, and was just looking at your comments about "WE INDIANS TREATING OUR LADIES". First thing, please do not bother what happens in Kashmir, because if its your news channel telling you the stories (PAKTV) then i too have seen how it blows up small things. And about killing people in Kashmir, yes we kill your brothers (THE TERRORISTS YOU SEND). WE DID NOT BLOW UP THE CHARARE SHARIF.. YOUR BROTHERS BLEW IT UP.. AND ABOUT TREATING LADIES, WE CALL THEM MAA, WE TREAT THEM AS AS GODESSESS. AND WHAT ARE YOU FROMA A COUNTRY WHERE THE EXAMPLE OF Mukhtar Mai TEACH WE INDIANS ABOUT RESPECTING WOMAN. I FEEL THAT YOU ARE HALF INFORMED, AND WHAT ARE YOU?? YOU ARE A PART OF INDIA, REMEMBER THAT, YOUR EXISTENCE IS BECAUSE YOU WERE BROKEN OUT OF INDIA. THE PROBLEM IS, YOU DON'T WANT TO LOOK AT A ISSUE WITH AN OPEN MIND. WHAT ARE YOU OR ME TO SOLVE THIS KASHMIR ISSUE, IF YOU FELT IT WAS THAT EASY IT WOULD HAVE DONE LONG TIME BEFORE. WE TOO HAVE LOST OUR WOMAN AND CHILDREN. THE WHOLE SECT OF KASHMIRI PANDITS WAS MADE TO QUIT KASHMIR, I THINK YOUR PTV DID NOT REPORT IT TO YOU. I WAS SHOCKED TO KNOW THAT THE STAR NEWS GIVES DIFFERENT VERSION OF SAME NEWS IN INDIA AND IN PAKISTAN. I DO NOT SAY YOU ARE IGNORANT, YOUR QUESTIONS ARE RIGHT, BUT YOU ARE NOT HAVING AN OPEN MIND WHEN GIVING CONCLUSIONS. I SAW SOME POSTS OR OTHER COUNTRIES, ONE FROM INDONESIA, YOU SAID YOU GOT TO KNOW ABOUT THEIR COUNTRY, DID YOU QUESTION ABOUT MANY PEOPLE GETTING KILLED IN THE BALI BLASTS MOST OF THEM WAS YOUNG BLOOD. I AM NOT JUSTIFYING ANYTHING OR PROVING ANYTHING TO YOU, BECAUSE I KNOW YOU HAVE BEEN MADE SO STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS THAT THE VIEL ON YOUR FACE HAS ALSO COVERED YOUR CONCIOUSNESS AND YOUR KNOWLEDGE. HAVE AN OPEN MIND BUDDY, AND BELIEVE ME, WE TREAT OUR LADIES WITH EQUAL RESPECT AS YOU ARE TREATED IN YOUR CULTURE. IF YOU WANT EXAMPLE, TALK TO MY MOTHER, SISTERS AND MY LADY RELATIVES. HAVE AN OPEN MIND.. IT WILL HELP YOU UNDERSTAND THE WORLD BETTER. SORRY IF I HURT YOUR SENTIMENTS.

I saw once on BBC News that indian girls were weeping and were saying that May we n't born in india or if we had to born in india then it'll better for us that we may n't come in this world. It was a real document of india. I know very well that indian army rap Muslim ladies. If upeople martyre those ppl which we send then plz visit ur channels and see that Many local Kashmiires r martyred daily. I've seen same reports in Pakistnai channels and in indian channels.
