keeping computer idle for about 8 hours
a day is not advicable . instead it is
better to turn it off .
stand by and hibernate are the same .
Hibernate is basically about copying
the contents of your RAM onto your HDD
before shutting down. You computer will
go off after a hibernation operation.
You are free to switch of the power or
leave the ATX in a semi powered state.
When you turn on the computer again,
Windows does not load itself up and
other programs from scratch... it just
picks up from where you had left off.
Hibernate is all about saving the
present running state and configuration
of your computer.
