When a foreigner approaches you and asks for help, can you manage them, in particular their language, or do you flee????

If you are planning to visit a certain country, wherein language is far too different from your own. I think its an SOP that you know the basics of that particular country or carry a map of that particular place. In that way you wont get so confused, when you to ask around, people will just ignore you. Or much better learn the language of that country. Since you are the foreigner visiting anyway.

Sure I would be able to handle questions from foreigners and I wouldn't flee but if I can't help i would let them know where they can find help -Just what i would expect in a foreign country
