yes its ford GM and Daimler Chrystler, the three big car companies have got their plant there, and to inform you chevy belongs to GM

well i also think detroit is the car capital of the world...as stated earlier...but nowadays a lot of manufacturing problems(basically costs ) are faced by the companies there...which is forcing tthe companies to close there and shift to developing nations...

yes i do agree but detroit is so strongly associated with the automobiles that the cars majors like ford,GM and DCC have rooted their head office there, and i feel its good that car manufacturing is spreading world over
