Do you have a tattoo? Post a picture and explain why you got it and what it means.
Well mine is "Om Mani Padme Hum." A buddhist mantra. Tibetan Buddhists believe that saying the mantra (prayer), Om Mani Padme Hum, out loud or silently to oneself, invokes the powerful benevolent attention and blessings of Chenrezig, the embodiment of compassion. Viewing the written form of the mantra is said to have the same effect -- it is often carved into stones, like the one pictured above, and placed where people can see them.

Wow! I have an appointment THIS WEEK to go get the Mani Mantra tattoo (self designed so it looks a little different). Judging by the tattoo looks like you may know a little bit about Brandon Boyd or maybe Incubus(the group). Tattoo looks great! Below is the very FIRST tattoo (of many) that I got.

My mom told me to hant that mantra to dispel evil. I've got a few tattoos on my body. Actually wanted to get one every year, but I'm running out of space/skin. This is one I got on impulse.

i don't have one and i don't want to have a permanent one. i find it a little dirty if i make it stay with me forever. but i would love to try a henna tattoo on my hand... i've seen some people having it and i see it like an art. i really want to try having one but my husband doesn't want me to try it because he is afraid that my mother-in-law might find it offensive.
