Flash Animation has made things a lot easier in terms of animation. Before, you have to make a lot of drawings in order for you to make an animation. But now, all you have to achieve is the technical know-how with the software and it will open you a big gate to the road of making digital animations. For years and years passed, Macromedia Flash has made its name in the animation industry, and attracted the interest both of professional animators and newbies.

I actually think that CG/3d has done more for animation than Macromedia Flash. With flash you still must have different pieces(mouths and eyes for example) of the same body parts to create a decent animation. With 3d modeling only need to reposition anatomy(motion capture can give more life like results.)

Yeah, that is true that 3d modeling softwares has done a lot in animation, but the difference is if you really want to plunge on 2d, there are lots of options that you can use and one of the leading is flash.Apart from it, it will took you a really high end computers if you want to make up with the 3d. I am also using 3d animation software like blender, maya and swift 3d, but I like doing 2d animation more than 2d.
