The Cubs had Juan Pierre last year on their roster and now he is gone... Does anyone have any idea where he got traded to?

Pierre is gone to the LA DODGERS. Its a shame that the Cubs did not sign another contract with Pierre. Imagine Pierre as a leadoff hitter and Alfonso Soriano hitting right after him. And probably Derek Lee hitting third, after him most likely Aramis Ramirez. But thats not possible anymore. Doesnt anyone realize that Soriano played 2nd base just two years ago, and that the cubs have a scrub playing at second base. So Pierre could have stayed at centerfield. That is exactly why i criticize the Cubs so much. GO WHITE SOX!!!

LOL personally I like the NY Yankees. My husband is the one who likes the CUBS! I thought Pierre was a good player but that's just my opinion.

He is, no doubt. I remember when the Marlins won the world series a few years back 04 i believe. Pierre was the leadoff hitter and Luis Castillo was second in the batting order. It seemed that everytime Pierre got on base he always came around to score. So all Pierre needed was a good hitter hitting after him. Soriano and him could of been a success. So you like the yankees huh? I dont like them for nothing though. I like the Mets more :] I guess in both cities (Chicago and New York) i like the "second team" more.

Pierre is a bit overrated . . . and that put a lot of unfair expectations on him last season. I was in Cinci on opening day to watch him lead of the game with a triple and swore that 2006 would be different. Boy, was I wrong. Anywho, I am glad the Cubs didn't resign him and a little peeved at what we had to give up for him. I'd like to see the Cubs bring back Lofton for '07. I think most will agree that he was the catalyst for the 2003 team. He could do the same with this go around too.

All I know is we (Florida Marlins) sure didn't get him back. I'm still in shock from the fact we traded him and many others players (most of the good ones). I could root for many other teams now because they have so many of my Marlins.

Yup i was shocked also to see so many great players from the Florida Marlins leave within the last three years. They only have two players that i could think of that were on the roster when they won the world series. Those two players are Miguel Cabrera and Dontrelle Willis. And how could they fire their manager who did win manager of the year in the NL.
