ROCK MUSIC! DECLINE OR EVOLUTION?

I am a big fan of rock bands from the 80's and 70's like Jimi Hendrix, Steve Vai or Van Halen.To me these guys are the best bands, who ever existed.In our times there are a couple of worthy bands but most of them lack talent or simply create simple stuff.They concentrate more on how they look, not on what they create.Maybe thats why people don't listen to rock like they used to.Do you agree with me or not?
