looking for anybody who can tell me what exactly is 'chlorella'!? it's driving me batty not knowing!i ate chlorella ramyun (ramen), and still don't know what i ate!!! i assume it's a plant extract but can't find any info on it. i'm wondering if it's healthy or just used for coloring ...because the ramyun noodles did not taste like anything in particular...so i doubt the chlorella has much flavor.

It is an alge. Very popular and you can find it in fresh water. It is also being used as very good nutritional suplement.Like all algs, it is realy good for your body.

for the sake of a response.. 'it is an algae' also, thanks to what i read, i now have to read up more on algae, which seems uncannily (and discomfortingly) similar to moss and other weird green stuff!! where are my brownie points?

similar to moss and other weird stuff, um, yup ;) though i believe algae as such grows inside water, lichen on woody plantlife such as trees, and moss on surfaces of rocks, including in or near water (but algae grows deeper in water i believe). though you've given me an idea...algae brownies! :b

oooh.. by the way, did you know that lichen can only grow if they are surrounded by a clean environment and not otherwise? apparently that's something to look out for if you're particularly sensitive to air pollution.. pretty cool, huh?

hmm, strange but true? :) i wonder how many responses we`d get if we started a discussion about lichen!?!? (pretty ridiculous but you never know!)
