i would choose but the children must have options.

I would guide them, encourage them, build their abilities towards their strength. However, the final decision as to what they will become eventually, it is all up to them.. We live our lives, and decide what is best for outselves, we do not live their lives for them.. We guide them and when the time is right, release them and let them fly on their own.

I think up until a certain age, children should be delegated. What that age is, I'm not exactly sure, however, after I turned 16, my parents let me do whatever I wanted, but because of their guidance through life, I had no problems, I didn't get into trouble, didn't wind up with a bad crowd. After a certain age, the child decides whether nor not the parents can choose anymore, anyways.
