When you pray, what is your other Surah?

December 4, 2006 3:27pm CST
When Salat is offered, it is compulsory to recite Al-Fatiha and for the first two rakah I think of Zuhr/Asr (and i am sure other prayers) one other Surah also has to be recited. Which one do you recite? Personally, if I pray I recite Al-Ikhlas because it is short but so powerful.

I think Gary is talking about a form of prayer. Dont know he did not elaborate it.

Since I am a Christian I do not recite written prayers. For me, prayer is a conversation with God and I just tell Him whatever is on my heart.

This is a bit like Dua. It is nice to hear you speaking of a conversation with God.

I agree with marlesa, that this is not the right forum to discuss specific intrinsic matters related to a particualr religion. Most people wont udnerstand it and wont be in a position to comment upon. Happy mylotting!
