My husband drives me absolutely nuts with this game! It is nonstop. We go out to smoke a cigarrette, and out comes the computer. I mean, will the computer get lonely if it doesn't come along?? I know there are wives out there who know what I am talking about. Almost every guy out there is totally addicted to this game, I know there are some girls too. I have a lot of friends whose boyfriends are completely into this too. We are thinking about starting a club or something. Wives against WOW. Would that be WAWOW?? Anyways, I will be the founder of the club!! Please ladies, and guys too, let me know what you think!! What is so addicting about this game??

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!!!! this is awesome! i'm a 17 year old boy, i used to play wow, i liked it a lot but it got boring for me after i got half way to the max level... anyways... just wanted to say that i found this really funny, and i'd seriously be willing to join your cause as long as it's not WAWOW cuz... im not a wife lol!!!! ne ways, good topic, and this game is really addicting, i feel your pain, and feel sorry for you, if you ever look on ebay people are selling their characters for hundreds of dollars (INSANE) good luck with your husband, if he's really into the game, like... REALLY REALLY into it... i feel deeply sorry for you, call blizzard and complain, better yet, call your internet service provider and tell them to cancel your service so that you can spend some quality time hahahahha -JAMESIO

My husband used to play that too. It drove me crazy, but he loved it and he was here with us. I tried not to complain too much. His friends stopped playing and so did he. I hated that he lost his hobby, but am glad he has more time for us now.

Well, having "grown" up playing games with my son (Nintendo, Sega, and the early PC games), WoW was a somewhat natural progression. Gaming was then and still is a way to stay connected. As to World of Warcraft specifically, the game was a Christmas present from my son. Other members of my family also are citizens of Azeroth. You ask what is so addictive about the game. I think it is because of the progressive challenges presented to the players, the camaraderie shared with team mates, and the sense of accomplishment gained after "a job well done" in a fantasy environment.

Oh, I laughed out loud, and thank you for commenting!! Yes, we often do fuss in the game, but that is what gives otherwise static cartoons personality -- the individuals behind the toon!! Also yes to our daily diet of "who do you need to kill." In fact, I told my cousin if someone were listening in on our telephone conversations, they would think we were a bunch of lunatics or crazed members of some cult, and we would be in big trouble!! On the other hand, though, it is quite fun to get together with friends and family members to take on the challenges of beating the bosses in the game!! Still laughing!!

I grew up playing Mario Brothers and loved that game. But there was an end to that game, it didn't go on forever. And with the camaraderie with team mates? They fight constantly! I make my husband turn down the volume so I don't have to hear it. Just last weekend they refused to do the scheduled raid for the evening because they were mad at someone. It was so silly. I'm glad you enjoy it though! Thanks for the response and best wishes!

I can't stand it when peopel talk about teh game- for one, its $15 a month. first way to get your husband off his addiction is cancellation of the credit card ;). 2, its something i see pointless. why waste all your life playing a game where you are likely to get asked for s*x from some loser freak who lives with his parents? as for your club agaisnt the game, do go thru with it, i would support you and i am a guy.

Can't cancel the card, it's under his name. Anytime I call the bank to do anything with the account they have to talk to him to authorize it. He's paying $47 a month though, not $15. hehe That's funny about the loser freak, okay not really but it did make me smile. Thanks for the support, and I'd let you in my club!

I guess you should try out the gae yourself to know why it is addictive. If you get addicted to it too then u have no reason to blame ur husband.. lol. The Fact is these games unlike your other shooting games where you go around just shooting whoever comes in front of you, lets you feel how actually it would feel to live a life of fantasy, everything u only hear in stories and fairy tales, but could never imagine existing in reality. It is very interestin to play the same. Though I do not play WOW i play another similar game called GuildWars. These games are a huge hit among women too. I guess U should start playin too so that ur husband doesn't get time to play it all the time. :).. haha

I don't have time to play games. Everytime I think about doing something for myself, including eatting or sleeping my son seems to think it is time to wake from a nap and he is not happy unless I am running around playing with him. That's the wonderful thing called motherhood. hehe Thanks for the response!

That's not to bad! My husband is on every single night, then he's got the mic going so you can hear all of them talking over the tv, then he's on the phone with his friend that is also playing. It's nuts!! Thanks for the response and Best Wishes!

He is pretty awesome! But I still don't like the game! hehe I don't mind if people play the game, as long as they don't get that sucked into it that they forget there is a real world outside of it you know? Thanks for the response!

Games are fun and okay to be enjoyed but they shouldn't become more important than spending time with your family. You shouldn't have to take it with you everywhere.

Trust me I try, but if I have to try to hold the attention that hard is it really worth trying? I'd rather just spend time with the son you know! I guess that is one good thing about it. It gives me more one on one time with our little boy. Thanks for the response!

My family went to a wedding in May. We drove more than 6 hours and my brother was playing that game the whole time! It could have been 8 or more hours even. I couldn't believe that someone could play that long in a car. When I was watching him,the game didn't look like much to me. I'm pretty sure it was W.O.W. He was playing that game on the internet before that and met his girlfriend on there through the headset. So I guess their relationship would be fine since they both love that game. W.O.W is probably like those sims games, they're addicting and I guess fun when you can control little people. I don't like those kinds of games though.

That's how my husband is! Then he argues with me that he wasn't on that long. I do know how to tell time I'm pretty sure, so I don't know why he doesn't believe me. Thanks for the response!

I wish I knew where the addiction came from. My husband wont even stop to eat on ocassions due to this game. He plays for hours on end non-stop. I dont even think he gets up to use the restroom more then once each time he plays. I would band it due to the fact that it keeps him out of my hair and he is quiet for hours on end. I do feel that when I say stop playing that he should.

I do agree, it does get him out of my hair for awhile. I can do whatever I want for a few hours. That is a good point I suppose! Thanks for the response!

eheh yes is true in reality there are amny people addicted to the world of the warcraft so naturally i tried it and it sounds good in this kind of games and i found really funny but in reality i never dedicated to it many time also because i know that in some cases videogames are pure fun but at the same time you are wasting your time as well..
