Bar Vs Pub

Well Friends Can you please explain me the difference between a Bar and a Pub.. I'm really confused about both of them.. I feel like both the things are same.. But people exclaim it to be different

A pub is more of a restaurant WITH a bar... where food is as important as booze. A bar is where booze is more important than food.
Pubs also tend to have more "stuff" to do for patrons with pool tables, dart boards, and the like...
At least, that's my experience.
Also, in "older times", pubs were inns... they had rooms to rent... bars were simply places to drink.

Thanks a lot for the response... Now i m able to understand some difference between bars and pubs...
