Is anyone currently actively looking for a job? If so, what has been working?

I've been looking for a job for MONTHS on hotjobs, careerbuilder, craigslist, etc. It seems like for every 100 resumes I submit, I get 10 replies and MAYBE one interview.
I had a friend who used what's called a "Career Coach". He said it helped a lot and the new position he took paid a lot better plus he liked it more. The sessions cost a lot of money, but he makes a lot of money so it was no big deal to him. Has anyone tried one of these "coaches?" If so, what did it cost?
What about:
-Resume writing services?
-Resume submission services?
-Temp/Staffing services?
Any advice is much appreciated. Feel free to rant as well if you don't have any particular advice :) Feels good to get it out.

I haven't used one of those coaches, but many of the things you have listed above can be read about online. Have you thought about getting a job through a temp agency? There is a temp agency for just about any field you are looking for a job in and most of the jobs turn intop permentant jobs.
