Here is what happend. Someone charged around $50 to my credit card at pizza hut. I recognized this because I hardly ever eat at pizza hut... and it was in a restaraunt on the other side of town. So I check my wallet and make sure I still have the card...which I do. I call get it canceled blah blah blah all is fine and dandy. (Minus the money is still charged to my credit card) So I want to know who did this. I call up Pizza Hut and explain to them what happend and asked for the number and address of the person that used my card. I asked how they could use my card without having it and found out that they can just call in with the numbers and order...although the delivery drivers are supposed to get a copy of the card to take back with them. They tell me they cannot give me this information due to privacy and that if they gave it to me they could get sued. What do you do mylot? I desperatly want to have words with the person that used my card so how should I go about doing it?

In your situation it would be best to use the law in order to have your words with that person. File a police report. Let to police get the contact information of the theif. Take them to court! That will teach them. Not only will you get your money back, but they will have to deal with their actions. That could even mean jail time.

I do not know if this is proper to say, but you were lucky they did not do more damage. I actually am an associate for a company that specializes in identity theft and we also restore it, but you could have used our lawyers to sue this man as well as pizza hut. You actually still could. You may want to check out this site. You can get some of the top legal representation in your state and they will also help you monitor your identity and if need be, restore it. It may be worth 5 minutes of your time. If you have questions, please feel free to ask and I will be happy to answer them. I hope this helps you! Staci www.prepaidlegal.com/hub/stacigillen

I completely agree. File a complaint with the piloce and the credit company. They will dispute the charges and Pizza Hut will refend the card. Also, this is a crime...involve the police and Pizza Hut will have to release the information to the police. Then, at that point, you will know how it is. I see it has been a week since you posted this though. Did you report it?

File a complaint with your credit card company. Pizza Hut did not verify the card and you should not have to pay it since they did not follow procedure. File aslo with the police department. This is credit card fraud and they can find out the information from Pizza Hut and charge the ones who did it. You'll then find out who it was as well.

You should definetly contact the police about your credit card. Also, there is a company that helps to protect people's identity, monitor their credit, and restore a stolen identity. The company is Prepaid Legal, they work with Kroll Background to market the identity theft shield. It won't help with this case, becasue it is pre-existing, but once your identity has been stolen it is more likely to happen again. If you want some more information send me a message and let me know, I will send you some good links about it.
