Fire drills at my school teach bad evacuation procedure

I realize that fire drills were originally designed for everyone's safety in the event of a fire, but lately after watching my fellow student's responses to drills has me worried. Whenever the fire alarm goes off everyone always assumes that it is just another drill, so everyone moves slowly, gathering all their stuff before they make there way outside. If the fire alarm were to be real and not just another drill no one would be prepared since we are not told when a drill is going to happen. I hope you can see how I am worried what might happen if we do have a real fire at our school one day. No one takes drills seriously and this could have massive concequences in the near future.

I think that it's the teacher's responsibility to hurry everyone and remind them that you have to hurry in case of a real emergency. It's good that you're aware of the possibility of a fire.. maybe you could encourage others to move faster.
