Everytime I feel low or depressed, I either meditate or practice Reiki (an alternative therapy) and it really helps me get better. My moods are usually family related; career, friends, etc, don't change my moods too much. I'd like to know about you, what makes you depressed and how do you get out of it? Do you deal with it yourself, or do friends have to pull you out of it? Have you ever resorted to counselling; did it work?

I am little surprised that you are doing Reiki and you know about that, and though you are getting depressed? I am not saying that one who knows Reiki should not feel depressed! I want to say that if Reiki is there then it is easy to deal with depression immediately! And if you are following that then after some time depression should not come to you! My surprised element is this: Why again and again depression is coming? Well you are also doing meditation! So you have two positive things with you then how this kind of depression repeatedly coming to you? I have one suggestion: Unknowingly are you inviting it? Or there are something in side you, which is not dissolved completely after so much practice? Or are you just not able to heal and remove the root cause from your inner side? I hope that these questions may lead you towards the ways of peace because then you will be able to deal with that root cause completely!

I see your point on 'themes and patterns' in constant cycles. In my view it be that the Reiki is working through the pattern layer by layer and has not reached the core pattern yet. If we just keep on keeping on with a clear intent...changes will occur..that I know for sure!
