Well.. it really depends on the person. My son loves reading and he's at that stage where he just want to try everything and learn what he can. He's actually a fast learner and picks up really quick.

Yes, because this era wants an instant result so this character influnce this generation not to read. Reading takes time and need energy to think, but wathcing movie/tv is not harder than reading. And the effect, people in this era does not produce many high quality people than the past era.
