Think about those who love you, really want to see you happy and healthy. If you really love someone for them you will be able to quit. Like me. Trust me friend there is no medicine for it your have to try hard it just a matter of 30 to 40 days after that you will not like smoking again just try to keep your self busy. Try to avoid the company of smokers. And it is really going out of your control take a nice cup of tea. My best wishes are with you. Welcome to the healthy world that does not have smoke.

Kind of funny you mentioned the friend. I want to quit b/c after 3 years of marriage and 3 years of smoking...my husband now smokes. If something happens to him I will be the one responsible for it. I enabled him. I don't want anything to happen to him. I know that if I quit, he'll quit.

I've tried this...I get greedy =(
I tried taking out 1 cigg from my pack a day and putting it out of sight. Well I would get down to the end of my pack and go hunting for that last one. My willpower stinks =(

I have never smoked but i am told that the trick is to keep busy and my friend use to use a pen because she still had the habit of holding something in her fingers and bringing it to her mouth!
Best of luck!

Good luck=( I've been trying to quit for a month and just can't seem to do it.
I want to do it without the help of the nicotine gum, patches and all that stuff.
I've heard some people say that when you get a craving to get a sucker or gum and start chewing on that - within 2 minutes the craving will be gone. Also getting rid of any ash trays, lighters and cigg packs out of sight so that you have nothing to remind you. Maybe find a few images of lungs damaged by smoke and print them out to stick around the house? (I think I may try that lol)
GOOD LUCK!!! I hope to quit by the end of the month=)

Thanks for the tips. Printing things out might be very helpful. Sadly, I can't chew gum as I have something wrong with my jaw. sucks.

If you live near a Nutrition Depot (and maybe other health food stores), check to see if they carry "Smoking Withdrawal Relief" by Natra-Bio. It's totally natural and helps cleanse the nicotine from your body, so your body doesn't crave it any more. It's $6-$7 per bottle of 90 chewable tablets. You chew 3 a day for 30 days, and the nicotine is out of your body. Also, vary your routine. If you usually smoke after a meal, take a walk instead. Good luck!

It is not easy to quit smoking. I also not sure this few method work or not, I just heard from a friend of my boy friend. He smoke for around 6 years but he have quit it recently. These are thetips that he told me.
1) get ready some sweet in your pocket, eat it when you few like want to smoke. There are some antismoke sweet is better.
2) Always do exercise
3) Find something to do and don't let yourself too free. This will let you forgot to smoke.
