What would you do if you’ve lost everything – your family, your home?

Last week we had encountered super typhoon Reming that left many families in sorrow. Properties, even lives were lost. Last night, I saw the news regarding an overseas worker who went back in the Philippines with lots of dollars to surprise his wife only to be welcomed with horrifying news that his wife and children along with his brother and sister-in-law were casualties of disaster. I saw how hurt he was, trying to maintain composure but was unsuccessful. He covered his face with his jacket and the camera shifted its focus before he actually cried. If I were in his position, I would have gone crazy. Imagine, I’ve worked so hard away from home for my family. Without them all the money I have loses all its meaning. There’s no one to offer it to. I will be self absorbed initially but with the help of other relatives, perhaps, I can recover. Of course, with the trauma, I won’t be able to think of the others. There’s nothing much I can do for him but sympathize from afar. Properties can be replaced but a life lost is gone forever.

Hello kabayan! I felt sorry for that guy and gosh! what a traggic. If ever I am on his shoes....frankly, I don't know what to do. I might go insane that I want to die just to be with them.
