I have an idea. If I were you mother I know I would love it.
Surprise her with a day out. Take her to lunch and to get her hair done. Then both of you go and have a portrait taken together. She will treasure that memory forever and will have the portrait to remind her of it. I'm sure my mother would have cried if I had suggested it. I know she had always wanted to go get a family portrait done when I was younger.
And I know it would bring my mother in law to tears. Hmm. Maybe next time I am visiting my mother in law I will do that. Get her and me and my girls all in a picture together. I bet she would love that.

Do you stay with her on the family?
I want to say,staying wiht her and talk something about you life and your work.and listening to her.Old parents always want to chat with us and want us to listen to them.That is the best gift for them.

I once gave my mom, a beautiful woman sculpture, to show her, that she'll always be beautiful to me. I believe that's a sign of respect and love too.
