Why do people feel jealous?

It's only human nature, Envy... for what ever the reason we may want what someone else has and knowing that we can't have it causes the little green eyed monster to come out and it is so uncontrollable.....

jealousy is a sign of deep rooted insecurity and if you feel it you should look at the real reasons for it. For example, is it a result of past experiences? is it a result of fears about your own inadequacy? Either way, jealousy is always negative and rarely, if ever justified
