This is sad. It makes me mad, too. I saw a show about a woman who left her boys for just a minute, and they had found a lighter and set 3 of the 4 boys on FIRE! It was devistating. She lost one boy, and 2 of them were severly burnt and unrecognizable. The younger one's skin is just burn scares all over his body and his entire head. He doesn't grow hair anymore and doesn't even look like a little boy much anymore. Sad.

Depends how old they are really under the age of 9, definitely not. They’re too young to be left unsupervised in a car full of millions of buttons! Any older than that, then sure, why not providing they're mature enough? Leave the window open. Unless you’re going in there for more than ten minutes of course, if you’re leaving them in the car and then go and do your weekly shop for over an hour then that’s just stupid.

i hate when I see this. Esp here in OK when in the summer it reaches over a 100 out. And people STILL do it! I personally call the cops in a heart beat... the kids should not suffer because of their parents laziness. I think the parents need to be locked in a hot car in the middle of summer and see how they like it.... Plus here its illegal to leave the kiddos alone in the car..

I was left behind in the car all the time as a kid and nothing every happened to me. But, that's not to say that people should leave their kids in their cars, especially not babies. I don't have kids, but I don't think I could bear leaving my young children alone in the car where I can't keep an eye on them. If they are teens, then it would be no problem as long as they are well behaved.
