Resolve my Dilemma

There is this couple (husband and wife) who live in the apartment next to the one occupied by me. I live alone as my friends have moved over to other cities for work. Now the thing is that the person living next door beats up his wife every night and their conversation is clearly audible to me. Sometimes I think that I should go and intervene but then I stop thinking that it is theri personal matter. I am really confused and want some help from you people as to what should I do. Plz help.
