In my opinion, YES, museums do reflect the culture of one's society. Museums carry different art forms from different era. Artists are influence by their society and usually create artworks based on their experiences, their environment and surroundings. Museums can reveal much of the history, both past and present of the place and sentiments of the artist.

I agree with you. Perhaps it's because I'm representing a small country. We got a new art museum lately, very big and very modern but there are many other museums, like Historical museum, and the City museum of Tallinn, and the Open Air museum, where the whole old country-houses are exhibited. They all are telling us about our past. Actually, the whole old town of Tallinn is like an open-air museum with it's old houses and churches, some of them are built in 13. century. There is the place, when the past literally meets the present.
