I was just wondering how many of you can write poetry on the spot or would attempt it. The quality may not be the best, but we can have a little fun. Here is my attempt! Writing poetry on the spot Publishing instantly on mylot Would be a great amount of fun If only I didn't have to run

This may not be a "cute rhyme" but I'm sure it will have deep meaning to a lot of people out there. Time my heal the wounds But still the scars remain To remind us all forever Of all the hurt and pain

Of course it would be better without the typo. The first line should have read "Time may heal the wounds"

Thanks for joining in and posting a little poem. No problem on it not being of the cute variety.

I am not good at poetry. Or so my sister told me when I was a teenager...LOL. Just because my poetry didn't rhyme... can you imagine? Anyhow, my english teacher didn't think much of JRR Tolkien's poetry, so I guess it really doesn't matter. But keep on writing. I think we should do things that we like to do (as long as it isn't hurting someone else).

Ouch! Well I guess it would be o.k. if you didn't rhyme but just one and only time, lol. I am sad that you have a poem squasher of a sister. She is probably a bit easier going now, right?

Sure she is. I think sometimes we expect people to do things the same way that we do. But it's in the past.

You say you write poetry And do it lots of times So how can it be That I don't see your rhymes Instant poetry is lots of fun Not when you say you can but when it is done Sincerely, Your (not so) number 1 fan
