I like to go grocery shopping after I take the children to school in the morning as I don't seem to spend as much when they aren't with me. Sometimes I do go in the evening to get the bakery or meat bargains when they mark the prices down.

Mid morning works best for me. Not too many people at the store then lol.

Early morning. The workers are happy and there aren't very many people shopping.

From my experiences.. I think it is honestly best to go grocery shopping in the morning. The reason I feel this way is because.. Every time me or my other half have gone grocery shopping in the afternoon/late evening.. A lot of the items or things we have on our grocery lists are picked over..
I know that a lot of the time when we've gone in the meat section.. A lot of the meat was picked over.. And then there was only expensive cuts of meat left over.. And then because of this.. It hasn't ended up benefiting us in the long run.. Because we always have a budget we stick to each pay day.. And if we have to buy even more expensive cuts of meat it just ends up setting us back by doing this..
I also find sometimes by going in the morning it's a much more quieter shopping experience. Every time I've had to go grocery shopping in the afternoon it has been a chaotic experience for me. There's so many people in the grocery store that it's difficult to get through some of the aisles.. But it also takes much longer to get the grocery shopping done instead of it being a lot smoother, & a lot quicker then intended. I know that there we're times I'd leave the grocery store 2 - 3 hrs later. When in actuality it usually only takes me an hr. or an hr. & a half.
So in conclusion.. Due to mine & my other half's personal experiences.. We've learned the hard way that going grocery shopping in the morning is the best time to go.. Everything is much more fresh, but also..
A lot of the time it is much easier to get everything you we're looking for.. A lot quicker but you don't have to worry about whether or not some items on your grocery list are picked over.. I'd much rather prefer to go grocery shopping in the morning since I find it to be much more beneficial to go during this time of the day.. I find I get home a lot sooner, & then I still have a lot of time to unpack the groceries.. But also do everything else I had planned for that specific day.
Thanks for allowing me to share! xx

I prefer morning since usually there is less people. Plus later you seem to have to wiat forever to cash out. And maybe it's just me but people starting early on their shifts seem nicer then later on during the day.

I prefer early after noon around 2pm. There are very few people in the stores because some schools are starting to get out and most people with younger kids are at home b/c of nap time. I can do 2 weeks of grocery shopping and be out in less than 1 hr.
