I am intersted in what other people Christmas traditions are. My family always gets together on Christmas Eve for dinner. Just recently, we started doing pollyanna instead of buying for the entire family. (We still buy for all the kids.) Just to make it more fun, we do a dirty Santa. Christmas Day, we open gifts in the morning with our children and then vist with my husbands side of the family.

Ok I hope I don't sound stupid but what is dirty Santa. For us on Christmas Eve, we get together and have finger foods like mozza fingers, dips, shrimp and dip, etc. Know the kids are older we don't really let them open one gift because they mostly get gift certificates from relatives and we usually buy them one or two big things. I am living in a different province in Canada than the one I lived most of my life. So it is alittle different on Christmas Day. If I was back home we would have dinner and go visiting relatives for the day. Now we have a small family dinner, Turkey, potatoes, cabbage, carrots, turnip, dressing and salt meat. Salt meat is something Newfoundlanders(the province I am originally from) use. You boil it for a few hours and then add the veggies to the pot. Oh is my mouth ever starting to water. We have a nice dinner and then I hint around until I guilt someone else into doing the dishes. This year we are adding a new tradition to our Christmas. We are going to add yellow ribbons to our tree and doors to support all the troops in Afganistan.

Our Sunday School does a party and dirty Santa. Our family doesn't get together much anymore for Christmas. We did when I was real young.
