If you are a fan of Stephen King, Lisey's Story will be a favorite for sure. Lisey's Story tells about a couple's 25 years together as only Stephen King can imagine. The husband, Scott Landon, is an author and I found myself comparing him to Stephen King. His wife, Lisey Debusher Landon is wrapped up and carried away by Scott's life and demons. Some may call Scott's life and family the sheer image of madness but Lisey loves him and understands why he lives life the way he does. This book reflects on the circumstances Lisey finds herself in due to Scott's fame and the demons that form his personality. In true Stephen King fashion, there is an escape world, Boo'ya Moon that Scott retreats to when he can't stand the earthly pressures of the hand he has been dealt in life. After his death, Lisey finds herself taking a journey to Boo'ya Moon to find the same peace and healing Scott found there. The story tells about Scott, his father and brother's life in the past and Lisey and her sisters' lives in the present, with all the darkness, grief and terror you expect when reading a Stephen King book. Yet, when you are finished you feel the compassion and love this couple had for each other.
