Do you ever sound older than you are?

The other day my husband and I and a firend was sitting around the table going I remeber when this and that came out and how much it was and how big it was. Then I thought I sound just like my grandmother. "When I was a kid we had to walk 5 miles to school" You all know those kind of story that our grandparents tell.

Apparently I sound older, but look younger. I do think I am more articulate than the average 22 year old (I'm not sure that's the right word), but I have a bit of a babyface. Doesn't help in bars!

I think it comes with maturing, you catch yourself saying all the lame things your parents or grandparents used to say. I remember thinking how crazy my grandmother was because she could not keep our names straight as kids, well now I am doing that all the time with mine.
