If your child asks Santa for something very extravagant, how do you handle this? My middle child asked for the Butterscotch FurReal Pony ($300) and DH got it for her, but I think it's too much, especially since we have 2 other children that we have to buy for. I told her that since Santa is spending so much money on her gift that she'll have to share with her siblings.

Well I will explain the child that santa has to give presents to all the children so he should not be asked costly gifts. There are so many poor children so santa will not be able to give gifts to all the children.

I might spend that much on my teenage boy if it was the only gift he was getting. I don't think I would spend that much on my 7 year old daughter for one gift. She just isn't responsible enough to take care of something that expensive.
