My name is Ben and my wife and I are going to adopt two children from Haiti. Being that niether her nor I were adopted we are looking to find out from people who have been adopted and those that haven't what kind of things to expect and what kind of things that we should prepare for. We want to give them the best possible life that we can offer them but i think that without your input we might come up short and leave out some important things that you wish you might have had from your adoptive parents. So please give us your two cents. what do you think that some of the effect of adopting a child from Haiti and bringing them home to live in rural Iowa. What kind of differences do you think that this could have on that child? Would it be a better enviroment for a girl or a boy to be adopted into? What kind of things should the parents learn about the childs birth place?
