windows Vs Linux

Windows is poperitary and purely comercial. All that can be done with a raw windows instalation is watch movies and maybe a lil browsing. But thats all what we pay for. Also its very user friendly. Linux is development oriented. The GNU package thats installed alongwith has about 1000 utilities.There are about 10 verions of Linux being released every day. Its multiuser and multiprocessing. And needless to say the 'Free' aspect. But the GUI isn't well developed, though Bash is a very powerful shell.

Ok I would say linux will last longer for 1 important fact.Linux is open source in ALL its software where windows is open source in like 4% of it.So over time only ones that can fix problems is the windows buisness non of the people with technical know how can change anything about windows.You cant modify things like what color the process box is.You cant remove junk code and make your web browser faster.Its got a big diff between installing it which is the dwnside of linux.Once you install it some people face problems like no sound or no video.Windows is a lot easier to install so id say in my opinion linux will last longer since theres a huge group of people sharing new ideas and try to fix problems.When mostly for windows there only the microsoft employees trying to fix the probs.
