How did you get to work from home doing accounting. Did you have to work for a company first and then you were able to work from home?

Actually what happened was after my second daughter was born, I quit my job. I couldn't afford to have 2 kids in day care. I think I was bringing home about $50 a week and it just wasn't worth it. When Kristen was about 1, I started working in the evenings at a vocational accounting school. I met some very "rough" kids, but I actually enjoyed working with them. Anyhow, I was there about 10 months and during this time I was working, I started submitting resumes to companies. I had specific goals in mind. 1) I wanted flex time and 2) I wanted to work part of the hours from my home. I was up front with all the companies I interviewed with and eventually I found a company willing to work with me. At the beginning, I worked half my hours in the office and half my hours at home. This went on for about 3-4 years and then I got pregnant with my son and I couldn't handle the schedule anymore. I was virtually working around the clock. So I told them I was pregnant when I was about 6 months along (I was able to hide my pregnancies very well) and I wanted to start working part-time with 100% of my hours at home. Well they thought about it for a few days and accepted my offer.
