Is bi-polar too freely diagnosed?

I think ADD and ADHD are a few of the ones that are TOO freely diagnosed...especially in schools. Does anyone think this about Bi-polar? Do you agree with the add and adhd being freely diagnosed?

yes it is too freely doagnosed.When the doctor does not know why you have mood swings they always diagnose bi-polar disorder.I think it is very hard to diagnose personally

I was diagnosed with it when I was 14. Well, I'm 29 now and I went to another Doc/shrink last year and didn't even MENTION the bi-polar. He didn't even say anything about it either.
