Holidays, rest or stress!

Hi
I am a mom of three. Theay are all homechooled and I have come to realize the true meaning of the holidays are for children. DOn't get me wrong, I love this time of year. Family get togethers etc. But I am tired out. I have not even begun to shop, and I have limits to waht I can and can't do. I someitmes feel badly for my kids that they dont get what they want. Butu reality is..it just is not that easy.
Does the holidays really have to mean stress?

Please, do not say that your kids do not have what they want. First they have loving mother and this is the best under the sky.
For myself, Holliday means rest. I do limited shopping and limited spending. I do buy a lot after january 15, when everything is 1/2 price.
