Farting diverts a plane?!

Sorry, I thought that the title was a little misleading here. As I was really curious how flatulence could actually bring a plane to do an emergency landing. I am sorry to tell you that it wasn't flatulence but the fact that the lady struck not 1 match but matches on the excuse to conceal some body odour. As much as I find this amusing, this again has really got me thinking about the other episode "the nipple rings". I mean how could that flight take off with a box of matches in the plane? Why was this not sniffed out during check in and removed? I don't call this safe afterall. I think these people has really done themselves in - they can create such a ruckus over some body piercing accessory and blind to a box of matches. I remembered once how a Turkish plane was brought down all because some fools went behind the back of the plane to ignite a butane burner to brew coffee. Yes, it's amazing right. So how safe is safe when these people are so negligent in their duties. I can see some sneerings from members here like some TSA individuals on that poor lady with the body piercing. I am just baffled how insensitive we have become.
