Will there be a time when Windows will be Virus free?

I hope there is because viruses really cost a lot!

i really do not think so that someday windows would be virus free. when you have an operating system thats being used by over 95% of the world's computers, it would become vulnerable to viruses, malware and spywares. besides a lot of people are mad at bill gates for his unfair market practice that many people are going out of their way to create viruses. did you ever notice that viruses rarely struck mac os or even mozilla firefox because both have less than 10% market share. if you were a virus makes would you target mac os and immobilize only about 5% of computer users or target 95% of the PCs. your answer is as good as mine.

I agree... Virus makers want maximum damage and the best way to obtain it is to make a virus for Windows... As for Windows' security, that is a worst one. the biggest security glitch being the plug and play system which allows anybody to access kernel level resources... As for Microsoft's business, I think they are "improving" as they have made Windows Defender(an antispyware) a free software and seems Windows Live One Care is free too(why I say this cause, even though my 90 day triaL period is up, I can still use it with no problems)

There will never be a time when we will be virse when there are vendictive people out the. Some are just plain mean. some are after revenge. Some just to prove that they can destory things

I doubt Winblows will ever be virus-free. Microsnot is too yellow to try to make their sorry excuse for an OS secure. And even then, I'm sure there'll be viruses. I'm not gonna hold my breath. It'll never happen.

i believe that time won't come. ever since i learned using PC, virus is a twin of windows. even my friends who are expert on computing do not believe as well, that time will come that windows will be virus free. hmmm...im considering to shift from windows to mac.
