Using images from another web site.

Is it legal/right for a person to obtain images from other web sites to use on his/her own web site? Please be as specific with your answer as possible.

Um, Yes kind of. If the image has a tag and it then if you remove the tag and put it on your site then it is illegal. If it is just a plain image well im not sure because many sites appear to have the same image but with certain pictures people have copyrights on them and if you take it without there permission, yoou can get sued.
