Should school officials should be able to conduct routine locker searches for weapons or drugs? If your answer is "yes" at what age do you think this is appropriate? (starting from Kdg all the way to graduation)

I honestly think school officials should do routine locker checks and should do them once a month... I believe it should be started at kindergarten...even though the kids that age may not want or try to hurt someone if something in their possession is found ..it may hurt them and or some one else on accident. also they need to be sat down and talked to about it. as the grades climb I believe the times checked should also frequent like in high school once a week maybe twice depending on schools.

I believe it should start from the first day of school, This way later on as they grow up. Locker checks, and Searches, will not be an intimidating or scary. To me the searches are scary and intimidating because I never head to experience it until I was 15 years old... had It been something I grew up with as the normal facts of life, it would not bother me as much, but this really bothers me... That we have to do this... Teachers and parents should regularly check bags and stuff, because children do not totall understand right and wrong and may steal something not meaning to or borrow without asking intending to return it... This can also alert the family or school to realise if the child is developing a bad stealing habit or not... or if they struggle to understand right from wrong...- DNatureofDTrain
