Bipolar

I think my son has bipolar as do I amd many of my family members. But as a child he was diagnosed as ADHD. I too was diagnosed with ADHD. Ritalin helped me in paying attention, but not my son. The doctors and couselors told me that it is possible to have both Bipolar and ADHD. It is hard to watch my son, I can see the levels of bipolar that he is going through. I can see it when he is just starting to get manic and move on up until he is nearly to the level of hospitalization but then he comes back down and gets very depressed. He has yet to be hospitalized for this. I think if ever is, he will be able to get the meds and help he needs. So is there anyone else out there that has or had children with Bipolar?
