Animal Testing

Do you think animal testing is necessary to create new medicines and advance scientific knowledge. Or should is it unethical and should it be outlawed?

I persoannly dont agree with it, but I feel if there is a need to do it I feel it should be done in a humanely way with out pain for that animal which I don't think is always the case, as for testing for cosmetics I am totally against.
