I did collect them, and I have a ton !!!
I should do something with them, for now they are in a great big plastic tote.
I'd sell them if they'd sell, I should just donate them somewhere.

My grandmother collected them when the fad first started. Now she gives them away to the grandkids. The ones I have my children all play with as toys. I didn't really get into collecting them myself.

You probably won't believe this but I have never seen or heard of Beanie Babies. The only Beannie I remember was my Brownie Beanie and that wasn't a doll. Having lived outside the States for the last 50 years with the exception of home leave and vacations (a total of about 3 years all told) I am way out of the stream of things. I have heard of the Barbie and the Cabbage dolls but that's about it since the Kewpie Doll was popular in the 40's. However, the market for memorabilia being what it is you should make a little profit when you sell them, providing you can find a collector who is missing one or all from their collection.

After many years of therapy,I have finally stopped stilling beanie babies.My g/f now collects them so it is a good thing I have this terrible disease under control.
