Ghostrider Virus?

Have you heard of this virus called Ghostrider? This virus eats up all your microsoft office documents such as word, excel, powerpoint, etc.. this is a new virus, it was released on October 2006.. be careful if you don't want your important documents to be infected.. i'm a victim of this virus, if you have information to get rid of this virus, please post your comments.. thanks a lot..

Apparently the Ghostrider virus is a spyware worm, and as such will embed itself in the registry and send information across the internet to another computer. It also downloads code from the internet in order to reduce your system security.
Most of the anti virus programs have defenses for this virus, but I am unaware of any removal method.
