SOmetime back I decided I'd try and track down an old friend that I lost track of about 16 years ago.I did all the usuall things like School Friends etc but still came up empty handed. Has anyone else tried to find someone from the past with success?

Can't say I've ever really tried to find someone. Not with success anyway. We have a site here... the name slips my mind. I wanna say it's like whowhere.com or something or other like that. Oy! I'm not much help, am I? Sorry! I'll have to ask my Aussie friend if she knows of any Aussie sites that might be helpful. Good luck!

Thanks but last I heard the person was living in NZ, I think what bothers me the most is that on one particular day a few weeks back I felt as though I had said goodbye to that pesron for the last time....."sadness steals another day gone, friendships lost, memory's torn"....It was a strange feeling especially given we havn't spoken in over 14 years.

I used http://www.switchboard.com if they have a public phone number listed, and you know the address of where they last lived, this usually helps... I tracked down my ex bf this way, It scared the heck outta him at first lol.. I explained I just wanted to thank him for helping me get help for my depression and other issues years ago.
