I definitely agree. The musicians we have these days don't hold a candle to the greats of years past. Syd Barret was a god among men when it came to music - there will never be anyone like him again. His songs were haunting, lyrical and accompanied by some of the most amazing vocals and music that I've ever heard. Sid Barret Era Pink Floyd has such a distinct sound to them. And they influenced so many brilliant artists - The Stones, David Bowie, The Police, Queen... Here's to Syd! He's greatly missed, and I hope he's rocking out, wherever he is now!
