Climate change interrupts Calcutta.

A fortnight ago, Calcuttans woke up to a most awesome sight. Beneath their iconic Howrah Bridge, four activists hung spider-like at the end of a gigantic banner. Their message "Climate Change is Killing Ganga" drew attention to the enormous implications of the biggest environmental threat facing India today: that of Himalayan glaciers receding and rivers fed by them trickling to extinction.
