Iraq War: What now?

It looks like Bush is going to withdraw troops soon and it looks like the majority of the American people want that. So where does that leave Iraq? Will there be a civil war?

I think there will be a continuing U.S presence in Iraq and afganistan ,could be in a quasy form(like in kuwait).A civil war in iraq is unlikely, give the people good economics they will be only more than glad to mind their own buisness.

There wil be more bloodshed before any of this is over and the U.S. will still be looked at as an enemy and power hungry. I personally think that Iraq will have its own personal choas amongst themselves. I am scared of war and I want no parts of it. Most of my family is serving four major branches of the military right now and I feel as if we are not fighting for us, but the greedy needs of one.

Bush is not going to withdraw. He can't. It would make things worse. Not to mention the fact that Iran is now a problem. So pulling out isn't going to happen. And as far as civil war...there have been civil wars there for years upon years, so it's not like anything would change.

honestly, i think the US has messed up iraq so much that it wont matter too much if they stay or leave..things are going to be really bad for a long time. however, maybe it would be slightly better if the troops leave cause i think a lot of the violence is a result of resentment against the americans. but what i would hope is that the US wont just forget about iraq like it did with afghanistan. there is a lot that still needs to be done in both countries for things to get better. i mean, the US went into afghanistan in 2001 with all these promises of making it better and helping the people but very little has been done. and trust me, ive seen it first-hand.
