My favorite author is Nicholas Sparks and I'm sad to admit that in the last couple of years his books are the only ones I have read for pleasure. I tried to dabble in other authors but I just couldn't find what I was looking for. I found that he writes about love stories that take place in the south and I can relate to all of his work or characters in one way or another. He has written A Walk to Remember, The Notebook, A Message in a Bottle, The Wedding and several other stories.

I really do enjoy reading a lot. Whenever I can get my hands on a novel I tend to make some time to read it here and there. I fine myself reading mainly true crime novels or anything from V.C. Andrews and Stephen King. I also like Mary Downing Hahn as an author as well. I like a novel that has a lot of twists in the plot as well as some very interesting characters. I'll also take a magazine with me if I want to spend some time just sitting out in the backyard in the summertime.
I really like V.C. Andrews as an author because of her really complex stories and how long they are. I enjoy a novel that has some weight to it and V.C. Andrews always delivers a novel that is very long but not lacking in the quality department either. She has a tendency to write very relatable and very complex mysteries that they've kept me on my toes ever since I began reading her material.
I also grew up reading a lot of V.C. Andrews books to. And I truly do cherish the books that she has come up with. I love how each time I have read her books they have taught me the pain children have gone through. I have been able to relate to a lot of the books she has released due to the reasons that some of the books she has written or the story lines.. I've been able to relate to as I have gone through similar experiences when I was younger as well. I honestly feel that no author compares to her talent!
If there's one author who has always entertained me as well in the pages as well as on the silver screen. It would have to be... Stephen King.. She has delivered some of the most interesting books I have ever read. I'm not a fan of his books like "Dreamcatcher" because of it's science fiction ties. I prefer more of his horror novels instead of ones like that. I find he really has a knack for keeping people on the edge of their seats and wondering what's around the next corner or who's going to die next.
I am actually a big horror fanatic so reading Stephen King is almost second nature. His name goes hand in hand with the horror genre. I remember watching certain movies made based on his books and I have sometimes wanted to pick up the novel and read it just to see what's different. I always hear that "the book was better than the movie" and I have yet to really test out that theory. I think if I were to do that to one of the movies I liked I might end up destroying or losing interest in the movie I once liked.
I find the best novels I read always have something really screwed up going on in the storyline. There's someone getting murdered by an insane clown or there's's a family just falling apart and something is controlling them to act this way. It also helps if there is a way that I can relate to one of the characters in the film.
In conclusion, I have always had a passion for reading. If there was a genre of books that I enjoy it's horror ones, hands down. I don't know what it is but reading stories about demons and devils and monsters and their effects on humans really seem to keep my interest more than anything else. It all comes down to an interesting storyline above anything else. That's the most important thing to me when it comes to reading! . .
Thanks for allowing me to share! xx

I absolutely love to to read. I can never get enough of books and poems. My favorite author would have to be Chinua Achebe; he's a Nigerian writer. I've read his novel "Things Fall Apart" 3 or four times in the past year or two. It's about a Nigerian tribe and it's traditions and then what happens when others try to "civilize" them. I also enjoy the Bronte sisters, Jane Austin, Oscar Wilde, Robert Frost, Hemingway, James Joyce, and so much more. I was a literature major in college :).

Yes we love to read, not enough to time work and compute and school, and chores...Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Andre Norton, and on and on. That is why I joined a book swap site..also I could not afford Sherrilyn Kenyons books but I got them on that site. I also get rid of books I don't need or have duplicates of. Helps us alot. they even have some comic books and have just started trading of CD's . Supporting the reading habit can be hard sometimes!
