Help, what is the main difference of a blog and a web site?

I just created a blog for free to advertise my PTR sites on. I also just found a web site that I can make my own web page on for free. what would be better for me to use to promote my sites? My Blog page http://catwomansbestsites.blogspot.com/

A blog is a space where you write your personal feeling, your life, all of about you and your life. A web site is a space that contains something as image, file, document of your job or interest or hobby.

I have both a website and a blog. The website is updated monthly, but the blog needs daily maintainence to keep my readers interested. I like to write and engage my readers in discussion so I prefer the blog. There is also a great blogging community online that you do not necessairily find with a website. Best wishes for both your sites and your blog!
